Communities in Qatar
There are more than 10 Arab and Asian communities in Qatar. Non-Arabic Speaking Asian workers make up the largest proportion of the population, with more than one million people. The largest number of communities are Indian, Nepali, Filipino and Bangladeshi. These communities are based in the industrial, oil and gas areas. English language, Official Hindi language and Nepali language are the most common languages among the Asian communities.
This number of communities is considered as major operational energy that can be invested and directed to the safety and security of the labour and residential establishments to preserve the lives and property of the homeland and its wealth.
