The Bedar Community Outreach Initiative, now in its fifth edition, is organized and led by Qatar Shell in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, aiming to effectively engage and empower community workers across Qatar.
The initiative builds on previous editions that were launched in collaboration with national partners such as the Ministry of Interior and the Qatar Red Crescent, expanding outreach and awareness among the labor community.
Since its launch, Bedar has reached tens of thousands of workers representing more than 20 major labor companies, delivering its programs in multiple languages including English, Nepali, Urdu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The initiative focuses on enhancing awareness in key areas such as safety and security, community culture, health, fitness, and personal wellbeing — empowering participants with practical knowledge and values that support a safe and positive work environment.
Rooted in the principles of the Qatar National Vision 2030, Bedar promotes social responsibility, inclusion, and sustainable development. It also aligns with the goals of local and international human rights organizations that advocate for the wellbeing and dignity of workers in Qatar.
